We recently had a $248M bond referendum passed for our community college
district. Although much of the funding is for repair and renovation, we
also will be constructing new buildings -- including buildings dedicated
to classrooms, technology support, student services (one-stop admission,
registration, counseling, etc.), and science and computer labs. We are
trying to find other colleges or universities around the country who we
could communicate with (or visit) about buildings and renovations they
may have recently completed. In particular we are interested in how they
planned and designed for the integration of technology into the buildings.
If you have recently participated in this process, or know of someone who
has a particularly well-designed "technology-wise" building, please reply
directly to me at [log in to unmask] (rather than to the list).
If the response I get seems that it might be useful to others I will post
it to the list.
