I kind of agree that the need to better identify the group is needed, but I
never seem to be able to come up with something that all will agree on.
Please keep us posted on what ideas you get. Thanks.

Subject: [CIO] New Name for Administrative Computing
As part of a recent IT reengineering effort here at Ole Miss, the
recommendation was made that a new name be identfied for our group that is
currently known as "Administrative Computing." Obviously, this group
provides service not only to administrative offices, but also to faculty and
students, and needs a name that reflects all these constituencies. We
considered incorporating the term ERP into the new name (since we're in the
midst of an ERP implementation), but that actually seemed to be less
descriptive than what we have now.
Has anyone else faced a similar "identity crisis?" If so, would you please
let me know what kinds of names you considered and what was the final chosen
