Dear CIO Group members,
I'm currently leading Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) project for our
school. To complete, I would like to bother you with the following DRP
1. What would your and other schools do (if you by any chance learn
from other schools - will be great - apply to following questions)for
DRP issue when most universities are facing tough budget agenda?
a) Cut down DRP budget
b) Increase DRP budget
c) Stay with current DRP budget
d) Other strategies to balance DRP budget issue
2. By any chance, a little technically speaking, would you be able to
tell what the following DRP strategies your, or other schools are
a) HA (High availability) system - cluster computing, RAID, Load
b) Local tape backup and with offside tape retention
c) Hot-backup or real-time backup at hot, warm or cold site
d) Site Redundancy (site-mirroring, or called zero-tolerance)
3. Any DRP related universal education, or studies are required to take
at your, or other schools? Any dedicated DRP courses are offered at
your, or other schools?
Anyway, we deeply appreciate your support and value your info as our
most important DRP project resources.
Thank you in advance and best regards,
Dr. Ruben Hsing
