Would like to talk to other institutions that originate loans for graduate
students (school-as-lender model under the FFEL programs). In particular, am
interested in knowing how you integrated this into your administrative
systems processing and business office/accounting flow.
Especially interested in knowing how you handled the ERP systems processing
and integration aspects---given that higher ed ERP systems don't typically
come with a module that "emulates" the processing steps a bank/lender would
typically follow for their part in traditional lending. Did you
write/purchase your own front end, did you modify your internal financial
aid module/processing, etc. Don't really care what ERP system or database
backend you have, or programming language you might have used-just some idea
of what you did and why, and who might be someone our Director of
Administrative Information Systems and/or her programmers might talk with.
