We are in the process of looking at our campus wayfinding efforts and
although we will most likely do traditional signs for campus directional
and buildings, we are looking at using digital display technology to
provide in-building wayfinding, information and directory services. I
know that many of you have already incorporated this type of system into
your campus and I'd like to learn from your successes and from those
less than stellar attempts.
If you can post to me I will compile the results and post it back to the
Specifically we want to use off-the shelf flat panels tied into our
campus wired/wireless network. We would like to develop channels from
our existing portal (Luminis) so as not to replicate work for
directories and events calendars. And lastly we are toying with the
notion of using these stations for providing hardcopy pdf's of campus
maps, brochures, etc.
Thanks in advance,
