Greetings! I just met with a telecom consultant who wants to review our
bills and take 50% of any refunds and future savings (for 36 months)
that he gets for us as his payment. We are aware of some telco
overbilling that took place over the past 4 years, and our PBX vendor
feels that we stand a better chance of a good outcome if we use this
I would appreciate any feedback on this kind of agency, but I'm
particularly interested in the percentages that are commonly given to
such people. He agrees that 50% is too high for overbilling that we're
already aware of and has proposed 30% as his cut for negotiating that.
He also wants to do an electrical utility billing review. Any
thoughts/advice would be much appreciated.
