Pepperdine University is embarking on a renovation of classroom
facilities for one of our graduate campuses. This renovation is
expected to provide what we need at this location for the next ten
years. Our present students are clamoring for power outlets at every
classroom seat. We are mindful that moving forward, smart phones and
other devices will replace laptops over the next ten years and (more
likely than not) power will be less of a concern (because these
devices can go much longer without a charge). That being said, we do
not want to spend significant amounts of funding to drill cores into
the flooring for power outlets.
Is anyone aware of a low-cost, more pragmatic solution for running
power to desks that would not require coring? I would appreciate any
suggestions - please email them to me offline @ [log in to unmask]
