We at Montgomery College have a daily electronic publication for faculty and staff entitled "Inside MC Online". It is pushed to each desktop and available via a link from our website with past issues archived. Although we have received anecdotal comments that this is not widely read, our statistics show the opposite. The notices to our students are done through our Luminis portal, My MC. In focus groups conducted last year, the students said they thought the announcements functionality was more important that student email. In addition, our President sends out periodic communications to the college community--usually on specific issues.

Subject: [CIO] Campus Notices
What methods and/or systems are you using to communicate daily campus notices? At St. Bonaventure we use a once per day "notice-board" which is essentially an email digest of all campus notices. This has helped us prevent departments and employees from sending out individual notice messages to the campus. However, many on campus feel that the once a day email isn't widely read by our students.
Any feedback is appreciated.
