Each Friday I release a video on an interesting educational-technology product or service. The videos are short (less than 10 minutes) and demonstrate what the product is and how to install or use it.
This week's video is on wordle, a free service to create word clouds. This is fun to do, and can provide an easy way to introduce textual analysis to your students in almost any field. Please take a look at this, and the previous five videos, by going to the funfridayvideos.com<http://funfridayvideos.com> web site. Previous videos covered InvisibleHand, RadioLab, Jing, Aviary, and Readability.
I used to do a face-to-face session once a month called Fun Friday. These brief weekly sessions are replacing that event. I can get for more "reach" both on campus and beyond with the recordings than with bringing everyone into one room.
Please feel free to share or use these videos in any way you wish. If you have suggestions for future topics, pass them on.
