We are a liberal arts college but with our grad programs we are in the
4,500 fte range (2,200 undergraduates). We have about 100 VMs and we
are in a very low cost of living area. This position is in the
mid-50s to low 60s for our area. CUPA is good but the HEITS gives
specific information based on location, type of institution, size,
etc. so I often use both when looking to make salary justifications.

We plan to have a VMware virtualized data center with about 50 VMs. The major responsibilities include VM configuration and management, storage configuration and management, and network configuration and management, in addition to software and hardware vendor selections. We are a liberal arts college and planning for a data center for 1000-1200 FTE enrollment. Other responsibilities include firewall/enterprise security, WiFi management, etc. The job description/responsibilities and the salary range would be most useful. But, any helpful info would be greatly appreciated. If necessary, you may respond off line. Thanks.
