After several years of doing long, comprehensive surveys we have decided to take a different approach. We survey students each spring, staff in the summer and faculty in the fall. This allows us to really focus on these groups and we can alter the survey to focus on specific topics. For instance, we are looking at LMS alternatives to the fall faculty survey really focused on this area. We use Qualtrics for surveys and are very pleased with the tool. As for the method of surveys, the initial response is positive but we are only one year into it.
