For my two colleges, central IT manages printer output devices in general. We also manage the student print management system. We manage all-in-one printers for all users. We manage all fax machines, but are moving away from dedicated fax machines to a network solution. We "co-manage" copiers with the multitude of vendors who support these devices across the campuses. We are in the process of moving to a managed print service contract with a vendor that would provide and support ALL print output devices for students, faculty, and staff.
